I’m so happy to hear so many people are finally realizing that healthy eating for weight loss does NOT have to mean deprivation. Today, I’m specifically talking about desserts, and long gone are the days where trying to lose weight has to mean never eating a sweet treat ever again.
In my last newsletter, I shared with you 3 easy and simple modifications you can make to recipes to make them "Isabel approved" while remaining delicious. If you missed that newsletter, you can read it here:
A must read if you want to eat Dessert again
Today I’m back with 3 more easy modifications you can use to make tasty desserts part of your meal plans while still losing weight.
Get creative with NUTS
Nuts are not only an easy, filling snack, but they can also be used to make pie crusts, and blended into nut butter for smooth textures in dessert recipes.
In this first recipe, walnuts are used to create a wonderful pie crust (perfect for the upcoming holidays).
Apple & Walnut Pie
Use Non-Dessert foods to make desserts
Desserts don’t always have to include what most people would consider "dessert ingredients"...you know the usual...flour, sugar, butter.
Here are 2 great recipes where avocadoes and black beans (yes, black beans) are used to create delicious treats.
Fat Burning Chocolate Pudding
The Best Chocolate Brownies
Raw Honey can go a long way.
There are so many healthy properties to raw honey (not to mention it’s absolutely delicious) that it is a wonderful, healthy ingredient in desserts (instead of processed white sugar).
Here is another brownie recipe (yes, Isabel LOVES brownies) that uses honey as the sweetener (I also love this recipe because it is super easy to make and oh so yummy!)
Brownie Bars
Never again will you ever say "Oh, I’m just dying for dessert." With all of the wonderful options, there is no need for deprivation.
Now, we want to hear your Delicious Dessert recipe. Enter your recipe to be included in our upcoming "Healthy Dessert" recipe book (which you will receive as a complimentary gift if you are one of our great customers).
Here’s what I need you to do:
- Make sure your recipe includes only Isabel-approved ingredients. You may want to look through your manual again for a quick reference to be sure (but don’t worry if you are not sure, we’ll check each recipe to make sure it’s Isabel-approved).
- Make your delicious dessert and take a picture of yourself with it (if you don’t want to be in the picture, you can just send a picture of the dessert itself). Your recipe must come along with a picture!
- Email your picture and your recipe to dessert@beyonddiet.com.
- Let us know your name and where you are from (city, state/province, country). You can also let us know if you would like to include only your first name.
- Email your submissions by Friday, November 11th!
We are super excited to put this together for you and get it into your hands before the holidays.
